What we’d do with your photos.

Spec concepts: what we would do for eight real Nigerian brands, using their own public photos. None of them has hired us, so there are no results to show, and we don’t invent any.

Each industry sells differently, so each gets its own look:FoodJuiceSkincareHair careFragranceFashionHomeCafés

A Lekki perfume store

Lekki, Lagos · online since 2013
What we’d do

Sell the scent, not the box.

Online, nobody can smell it. So the post leads with the published notes in plain words, on a page that matches the bottle.

Get seenSingle post · 4:5
Before: a pink eau de parfum bottle and its box on a plain white background.
Before · their photo, as found
Spec concept, what we would post: the same bottle and box photo, whole, toned blush to match the bottle, with the headline Pear, peach and jasmine and the published notes.
What we’d post · single post · 4:5

Best on: Meta ad · Instagram feed · websiteA polished still does best where people browse to buy. For Reels and TikTok, see the video edit below.

Fresh juice · carouselSpec concept · unsolicited · not affiliated

A Nigerian fresh-juice brand

Freshly squeezed · delivers in Lagos
What we’d do

Answer three questions in order: what is it, how much can I get, how do I order?

A carousel lets each slide do one job. Slide 2 speaks to offices and parties, who buy by the carton.

Get chatsCarousel · 3 slides
Before: two bottles of orange juice standing on a branded delivery box.
Before · their photo, as found
Spec concept, what we would post, slide 1: their bottle photo, framed on orange, with the headline Orange, just pressed. Nothing added.
What we’d post · 3 slides
Rest of the setSlide 2: their photo of a full carton of bottles, captioned By the carton, 12 or 24 bottles, with the four bottle sizes.Slide 3: how to order in three steps, with a Chat to order button.

A Nigerian nut-butter brand

Peanut butter · made in Nigeria
What we’d do

Lead with the label’s strongest fact, then show how to eat it.

The whole ingredient list is one line: roasted peanuts. Shoppers comparing jars check that first. A square post works in the grid and as a catalogue ad.

Get ordersSingle post · 1:1
Before: a jar of natural peanut butter on a green background.
Before · their photo, as found
Spec concept, what we would post: their jar photo beside a breakfast serving idea, headline One ingredient, with no added sugar, salt or oil.
What we’d post · single post · 1:1

Best on: Meta ad · website product page · Instagram feedA clean square reads well in a catalogue ad and on the product page. It’s too polished to pass as a native Story.

A Lagos body-care brand

Whipped body butter · Lagos
What we’d do

Keep their soft, natural look and add a reason to reply.

Stories reach the people who already follow. Butters first, then a size poll, then a one-word reply turns a viewer into a chat that a story ad can later scale.

Get chatsStory · 3 frames

Hair care · story setSpec concept · unsolicited · not affiliated

A Nigerian natural hair-care brand

Natural hair care · Nigeria
What we’d do

Show the range as a wash-day routine, one step per frame.

Each bottle’s label already says what comes next. A story set feels like following the steps, and it sells three bottles instead of one.

A Lagos handbag label

Handbags · made in Lagos since 2010
What we’d do

Tell the craft on slide 1.

At a premium price, buyers need a reason. Sarki handloomed in the north, made up in Lagos, plus a close-up of the weave, gives them one. Size and strap follow in the carousel.

Spec concept, what we would post: their clutch photo in a cream frame on sand, with a close-up of the weave from the same shoot and the materials in plain words.
What we’d post · carousel slide 1 · 4:5

Best on: Instagram feed · Meta ad · websiteAn editorial cover suits the feed and ads. The native Story below is the version for Stories.

A Lagos home-fragrance brand

Diffusers, candles and refills · Lagos
What we’d do

Turn one bottle into a choice of scents.

The same diffuser comes in six scents. Naming them turns “nice photo” into “which one should I get?”, and that question is a chat.

What we’d do

§2Video

Short videos, made for the feed.

People scroll past anything that looks like an ad. Short, phone-shot videos with captions get watched.

Native

Looks like a normal phone post

  • For TikTok, Reels and Stories
  • Filmed on a phone, real hands, words on screen
  • Good for reaching people who don’t know you yet
Polished

Clean, designed look

  • For ads, your website and your main feed
  • Good light and a neat layout, like the photo edits above
  • Good for people already deciding to buy

A casual photo just looks like a bad photo, so for the phone-post look we use video.

Meta ads

Click-to-WhatsApp ads on Facebook and Instagram, judged on one number: cost per chat. In the trial they give an early signal, not the final result.

Sales counted properly

For brands with a website, purchases are tracked so we can see which ad sold.

§6Questions

Straight answers.

Is the spec concept really free?

Yes. It's a short PDF with the idea, a few designs and the reasoning behind them. There's no cost and no obligation, and you can say no thanks at any point.

Where did the before photos come from?

From each brand's own public website or social accounts, as posted. We kept their labels and edited the same photo or footage. None of these brands has hired us. The concepts show what we would do; they aren’t work for these brands, and the brands haven’t endorsed them. If a brand would like its concept taken down, we remove it promptly.

Have you worked with other brands?

Odeyra is a new studio, so we won't pretend otherwise. The concepts on this page are unsolicited and unpaid. They exist so you can judge the thinking and the craft before you spend anything.

Who actually does the work?

We do. We research, plan, write and direct every piece, and check each one ourselves before you see it. For editing, design and filming we work with a small vetted crew, always to our brief and our standard, and you only ever deal with us. If a project needs someone on camera, we agree who it is with you first.

Do you run the ads, and what do we spend?

Yes, we run them, from your own Meta account, so you keep the data and the ad history. Ads are optional. For a first test we suggest about ₦3,000 to ₦4,000 a day for two weeks (₦42,000 to ₦56,000 in total), paid by you directly to Meta. In the free trial we set up and run that test at no fee; after that, running ads is part of Grow or an add-on to Start. The test shows which version brings chats cheapest, measured against your starting numbers. Bigger gains come over the following months.

Can you guarantee sales or followers?

No honest studio can. We guarantee the deliverables, the deadlines and clear reporting. Any projection we share is labelled as an estimate.

Do we sign anything? Is there a minimum contract?

Yes, a short, plain-English agreement covering scope, timeline, fees, revisions, ownership and cancellation. There’s no minimum: monthly work can stop with 14 days’ written notice, and you keep everything you’ve paid for. Monthly work is paid at the start of each month; one-off projects use a deposit and a balance on delivery. You get an invoice and a receipt every time.

Is the two-week trial really free?

Yes. For two weeks we turn the photos and videos you already have into posts, with a short report, at ₦0. On day one we record your starting numbers (reach, saves, profile visits, followers and WhatsApp chats), so the report measures the trial against your own baseline. Ads are optional: you pay Meta directly and we run the test at no fee. New shoots are paid work. Website fixes aren't part of the trial; we quote them separately. If you decide not to continue, the trial pieces and the concept are yours to keep and use.

Who owns the work?

You do, once it's paid for. Pieces from the free trial, and the concept, are yours to keep even if you don't continue. We'd like to show the work in our portfolio, but only if you're happy with that.

Will you appear in our videos?

No. We direct, film and edit behind the camera. On camera, it works best with you, your team or someone we agree on together.

Where did you find our contact details?

From your public website or business profile. If you'd rather not hear from us, say so and we won't contact you again.
