Short version: this website doesn’t track you. If you contact us, we use what you send only to reply and to work with you.
Who we are
Odeyra is a content and creative studio in Lagos, Nigeria, run by Jeremiah Umoh. We decide how the details you send us are used, so we are responsible for them. For anything about your personal data, write to [email protected]. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (“the Act”) and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission’s General Application and Implementation Directive (GAID) 2025.
What this website collects
- No analytics, no cookies, no tracking. The site itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Fonts and images load from our own site.
- Hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the page and protect it from attacks. We don’t use that data to identify or profile you.
- The contact form. When you press Send, the form sends us your name, your email or WhatsApp number, your brand and your message. We store them in Cloudflare KV, storage run by our host, so we can reply and follow up, and use them for nothing else. If the form ever can’t send, it opens your own email app instead, and nothing reaches us unless you press send there.
- Spam protection. Before the form sends, Cloudflare Turnstile runs a quick check that you are a person. It looks at technical browser signals for that check only and is not used for advertising. To stop repeated abuse, we also keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for about an hour, then it is deleted automatically.
What we keep when you contact us
- What: your name, your email or WhatsApp number, your brand, and whatever you choose to write or attach.
- Why: to reply, to prepare a concept you asked for, and to manage any work we agree. Our legal basis is your request and our legitimate interest in answering it; for clients, it is also our contract with you.
- How long: messages sent through the form are deleted automatically after about 24 months. Emails and project files are kept while we’re talking or working together, then for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless the law requires longer (for example, invoices). Then we delete them.
- Who sees it: only us, our host Cloudflare, and our email provider. They store data for us, possibly outside Nigeria, under their own safeguards. We never sell or rent your data.
If we contacted you first
We find business contact details on your public website or business profile and may write once about your brand. Reply “stop” and we won’t contact you again.
Your rights
Under the Act you can ask us to show you the data we hold, correct it, delete it, limit or object to how we use it, or give you a copy. Email [email protected] and we’ll reply within 30 days. If you’re unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng).
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
